It's actually kind of useful. We were making three cups at the same time, and I wished I had two more. On the other hand, I don't usually eat enough cup ramen to justify it. On the otherer hand, it does look kind of cute hanging off the side of my computer desk.
(Oh, and it "works" by weighting down the peel-off cover of the cup ramen so that the steam/heat is kept in to properly cook it. It's made of a heat-sensitive plastic that turns white as it heats up, which can help you estimate when the ramen is done-- a little, anyway.)
